Stephanie Johnson, Soprano

Stephanie Johnson, has appeared with the Cincinnati Symphony as Solveig in Grieg’s Peer Gynt and as Sorge in Schumann’s Scenes from Goethe’s Faust. Further concert credits include Strauss’ Vier letzte Lieder with the Idaho Falls Symphony, Richard Einhorn’s Voices of Light with the Cabrillo Festival, St. John Passion and Cantata #51 for the Bach Society of New York, several consecutive seasons with California’s Music in the Mountains Spring, Summer and Fall Festivals as well as numerous performances for regional orchestras througout the United States. In opera her credits include leading and featured roles with several companies including Cincinnati Opera, and Cincinnati Opera on Tour. Additionally, she has appeared as a concert recitalist in such venues as the Arizona Desert Foothills MusicFest, Cincinnati Music Hall, Clemens Center, Yates Performing Arts Series as well as Arts Alive Broadcasting for PBS. She is the recipient of a Shoshana Foundation Richard F. Gold Career Grant, Tri-Cities Opera Guild Award, winner of the Opera Columbus and Jenny Lind Vocal Competitions, and a graduate in music from the Oberlin College Conservatory of Music and the University of New York.
